An update after awhile since I've been away. I know I did mention about updating my blog more frequently and yet again, I've been occupied with everything else and my focus was no longer on blogging but setting up a range of platforms that could potentially be developed for a bigger purpose for my future. However as I was updating my other blogs DancingcanvasArt&Craft, Sherry'sJournal, I stumbled across a new Stats tab on my homepage. (Yes, been retired from blogspot for a long time) and surprisingly so, I have been receiving comments from my previous blog posts and feedbacks from a few people. Although it might not seem much due to my lack of updates on blogspot, but I do appreciate every comment and every follower on this blog because it shows that you are or were interested in this blog sometime in the past; Unfortunately I haven't been able to stick around often enough to realise these things until it's too late.

However just a short update on everything exciting that has been happening recently and the reasons why I have been away for so long and my plans to end 2011 with a Bang!

I still love art, I still draw, but I design more nowadays, and I still like chilling...

Dancingcanvas Art and Craft is yet again very exciting as I watch my students grow to enjoy and appreciate art as much as I do. Every week different activities are thrown at them to think creatively and imaginatively. A lot of the activities involves independent thinking from brainstorming of ideas along with patience and the right guidance. Dancingcanvas is a place where children can scribble and make mistakes and we will all embrace every students potential and inspire them to be the best that they can be.

New Hobby to Keep Me Occupied:

Despite the hustle and bustle of life, every girl needs to take time off for some rejuvenation. and What better way to rejuvenate your soul, than shopping? Shopping has been an excellent alternative to occupy my time and it is very rewarding if I say so myself!

Yes I am completing a Bachelor of Environments course and majoring in Architecture, with designing, urban , and natural environment taking up most of my time at home.. thankfully.. one of my subject enables me freedom in creativity... art...and the opportunity to be childish!

This is a video my and my friend compiled. I was responsible for the background and he was in charge of the character design. It was sooo much fun! :)

I have been away for the past couple of months, adjusting to Uni life, enjoying the social life, and trying to survive in my course.. :) Pretty much sums it up. :) Although it does seem that this blog has officially been abandoned, I promise that as soon as I get life back on track, I WILL blog more often. Despite not blogging on this blog, I have been regularly updating my facebook page. I know, that's no excuse but life is constantly getting busier by the day, and it feels as if there's no time to blog when life revolves around going to uni, getting back from uni, and sleep. However, when Michelle Phan was my age, she was posting up make up tutorials while juggling between illustration college and blogging. She truly is inspirational to many, and lol obviously to me. :) Anyway Semester 1 has officially ended, and exams started this week. To those who are undergoing exams, ALL THE BEST! :)

I am a girl with mindblowingly-enormously-gigantic goals, but still an ordinary girl nonetheless.

This blog is now back and running, and will be constantly updated during mid year break. :) Stay tuned and Have a beautiful day.

This student was very happy when she completed this artwork. Although it took much effort and patience, by the end of this beautiful artwork she turned around to me and said "I am going to bring this to school to show all of my friends!" Teaching art is certainly a passion of mine, it is a responsibility and duty nonetheless but.. I thoroughly enjoy every moment of teaching, inspiring, guiding and watching the children grow in their love for art. Every student is different from each other, each student brings something different to the table.. their creativity, their ideas, and their personality. it has been very rewarding! haha.
Anyway... I better get ready for the next class! :) Thank you so much for reading and I hope you've been enjoying the artclass posts, random snaps and just a little insight from the blogger herself :)

Sea Turtle in the Jungle

Grade 1's swimming sea turtle artwork

This week the grade 1 and 2 learnt the simple steps to draw a sea turtle. Besides learning about the shapes and details of the sea turtle. They began drawing the swimming sea turtles and coloured it in oil pastels. The students then had to scrunch up the paper into a ball to create an interesting texture. After flattening the paper, we then painted a wash of blue paint over the uncoloured area and sprinkled on salt to create a flower-like spot. (This is because each crystal of salt chases away the pigment to make a lighter area beneath it ) This beautiful project challenges the students to experiment with different mediums while learning to colour their sea turtles beautifully by mixing a range of oil pastels.

Grade 3's wild life jungle artwork

This week the grade 3 continued on their beautiful wild life artwork. As I introduced perspective and depth to the students we also learnt about the different types of wild life animals. The students were able to draw a variety of animals in their artwork with a few tips and tricks shown to them. The basic shapes of the animals enabled the students to quickly draw animals from different angles. The students then coloured their artwork in colored pencils. Although both artworks were unfinished, I am tremendously happy with their work, they will soon be completing the artwork next week. (:

Happy Chinese New Year everyone! (: Did all my asian yellow fellow buffalos get a heap of "ang paos" (or as you would call it, red packets) this year? (: Ahah, living up to the Chinese traditions and paying respect to all the married and elderly.. Despite being in Australia.. with a not-so-festive atmosphere...There's always family to fall back on.. The tradition of waking up earliest and giving thanks to both parents has been a tradition in my family since I was born.. Whoever wakes up the earliest gets the biggest *ang pao* (red packet containing the most money)

I'm thankful for a loving family, the ability to go to University, for being youthful.. (: I'm thankful for having such a comfortable living.. I'm thankful for everything my parents have given me.. I'm thankful for the friends and family I have.. Most of all, I'm thankful for having an entire month of holiday! ;)

Today was definitely a perfect day to hold a pool party! Weather was great, the pool was clean, it's a Sunday and almost everyone managed to turn up! Woop~ I just love having a pool at home, friends near and far could come for a dip before uni/tafe/work begins!

It would be great if I was half as good as those figure skaters.. but ice-skating along the ring is soo tiring.. you have little control over your feet.. the floor is slippery and watching everyone ice-skate so beautifully is simply annoying. I felt incapable of doing anything in the skating ring. lol.

One of the few people that I've managed to stay in contact with since migrating to Melbourne. It was initially his idea to drag me to the Aquarium, but I ended up dragging him to the National Gallery of Victoria instead. :D We visited the National Gallery of Victoria first, from Chinese to European Art, then cityscape photography to world renowned designer furnitures. we visited the antartica penguins, baby hammerheads and jelly fishes after (: It's been awhile since I visited the Aquarium, revisiting the aquarium today definitely gave me a new perspective of appreciating sea creatures. Their so beautifully and wonderfully made ^.^ Did you know jelly fishes are made up of 95% water? and blind cave fishes.. are literally blind but could navigate their way purely by depicting sound waves around them.. and how about the fishes... :) I'm so intrigued by their pattern and colours... nature certainly has a way of showing it's beauty. ;)

First Official Date

Darren and I went for our FIRST official date today (:

It was nice having to hold Darren's hands and not be worried if someone sees us.

It was nice having to look at someone in the eye and know that nothing else matters

It was nice to not sneak around in a relationship, for the first time.

I've been involved in a couple of relationships in the past but they were all indeed very sneaky, very cautious, very tiring... Given the reason that I started dating from a young age, many of my relationships in the past were always under the radar and they all ended in tears; As I begin to realize that life does not have to revolve around relationships, or being showered with love and gifts, I made a promise myself to never fall in love after my last breakup at the age of 13.

It's been five years now since I had a relationship, although I won't deny that throughout the last couple of years was tough.. whenever I begin to develop the slightest feelings for someone, I pull back and clarify to both myself and the other party that we will only be friends, and nothing more... Since migrating to Australia, I've developed a "I'm NEVER going to date" mentality, and thanks to that I've pulled myself out of alot of unneccessary trouble and heartaches..

Darren's different though.. Truly one of a kind (: We've known each other for three years now.. and from being his "lending-shoulder-to-cry-on" buddy, listening to his girl problems back in year 10, we've somehow developed feelings for one another.. It was never serious between us as I kept reminding him that we are JUST friends and we will always be JUST friends.

Year 10, Year 11, and Year 12 went by, from "I will defend you from that stupid girl" friend, to becoming the best of friends, and today... we're dating. (: I've had a wonderful journey with this guy, and I'm glad he's have never given up on us, hence I will never give up on us too.

Ola! This photo was taken back in December (: Thought it might be a good "au natural" photo of me given that I have been rather busy and life has not been worth capturing on camera. Constantly applying for jobs, because the job that I worked at did not inform me of any work shifts; and the job that I went to today, I quit. I would just be very underpaid. Apart from the hassle of job applications, I am quite happy with the my new Compaq Presario which I bought for Aud390. It works perfectly and it works with Adobe softwares! I was a tad worried before and regretted being cheap with notebooks/laptops.. But instead of spending over Aud750 on a multifunctional laptop, this Aud390 laptop is capable of meeting my needs.. which is enough for me!

Another update? lol. My best friend and I have liked each other for quite sometime now, since two years ago to be exact; he's liked me for three years but despite having feelings for one another, we've kept it casual and simple all throughout high school.. Just this morning him and I have decided to make it "official" on Facebook. Everyone claims that a relationship is not official until it's on Facebook? Well, it's not going to work out without the approval of the parents. (:

Although I was hoping to get into RMIT for Bachelor of Architecture, but second on my preference list doesn't sound too bad (: Bachelor of Environments and majoring in Architecture the following year, and after three years of Bachelor of Environments then Master of Architecture. It still takes me to the same destination but on a different path... (: I still get to be an Architect/Artist! Which is exactly what I've hoped for...

I know, I know I ought to be out there dancing in the rain, enjoying the holidays while I still can...

But like I said before (the post on Melbourne arrival) there's just so much to do, Art Class curriculum for this year (a tad late but I can do it!), a promise I made to myself to read about Architecture, Interior Architecture at least 30 minutes everyday, personal investments, and my job at the restaurant, oh not to mention.. Evaluating on my business, the marketing, operational and financial plan of the art class. I really shouldn't blabber on too much, but you get the drift. (:

Last year was a good year for my art class, one lesson per week grew to two lessons! Course goals were established, and the children definitely enjoyed their time in Dancingcanvas Art and Craft. It's seriously more than just the establishment of courese goals, instructions for students, and organizing of materials... Last year was a good year, given the circumstance of VCE and still maintaining the growth of Dancingcanvas art class. But this year will be a better year ^^ A business do not plan to fail, but it fails to plan. A good Art Class is tied with a good curriculum; A good business is married to passion, persistence, and self discipline. It can be done, you just have to have the confidence. (:

Months ago, I visited Tim Burton's exhibition.

For those people who are keen on entering the mind of a genius, understanding his perspective, developing a deeper knowledge on contemporary art, digital culture, and experiencing his personal journey.. I strongly advice to visit exhibitions like Tim Burton's and Disney's Dreams Come True. There are (in my perspective) the best way to experience someone's life works, to develop a new appreciation and perspective on works outside of your genre. Also, this is what makes Melbourne so Marvelous and Unique. (:

Inspired by Nuffnang's Tangled Competition, I've decided to participate in this "Anything you can do, I can do better" post (:

First and foremost, let me introduce the male lead in this post (below) Darren Lalchand, and the female lead is... ME! (Sherry Ng) Darren and I have been friends since the age of 16, and now that we are currently 18..(hmm, it doesn't seem that long if you think about it). Just another 1095 days of talking, laughing, and more talking . :D He has always been tolerant and caring towards me (apart for this one time....), and we've never been competitive towards each other (apart for this one time...)

That "one time" was fortunately captured live on Windows Messenger Video Call, and it was that glimpse of competitiveness that changed it all...

Ever since the day I revealed my crazy loco side, Darren Lalchand did not dare to ever show his competitiveness in front of me ever again... That was the day he started going for balls (If you get the underlying message) on the field, and I began painting for therapy.We were competitive in different ways...

His passion for balls and competitiveness for winning shone through, and made it to our inter school football team.

Sherry on the other hand, had to express her aggressive nature elsewhere by painting as a form of therapy. She finally received "The Most Artistic" award at the end of 2010.

Speaking of happily ever after, ahah! My story kind of resembles Rapunzel's a Tangled Tale, doesn't it?... We both had our BOY versus GIRL rivalry, we are competitive by heart but grown to accept each others differences in the end, and we've grown to love each other from the 1095 days of journeying through life in high school. ( lol, this is an alternate ending to the story above)

Yes, given the experience of job application; I've always thought of it as a painful yet exciting process, it's definitely a fun experience walking into shops, smiling and asking the very same question every single time "Hey there, are there any vacancies for part time/casual positions? Rejections from a couple (maybe 20) is expected as unemployed teenagers are all competing for a jobs everywhere, Luckily I found a job just within walking distance from my house.... simply the best thing that's happened today... now back to cleaning...

Happy New Year! 2010 was a good year overall. I started an Art and Craft class, completed VCE and was satisfied with the result, had the best birthday throughout my 18 years, friendships were strengthened, and received my very first scholarship (: haha. Don't mean to brag, but 2010 was a good year indeed. I believe 2011 will be a good year too... I have some New Years Resolution written in my diary, hopefully I'll stick to it as long as possible to be able to see some results. Last night my friends and I experience Melbourne's 2011 countdown, standing in the heart of Melbourne, experiencing the 360 degrees fireworks spectacular, caught in the mosh pit, celebrating New Years Eve with live music and great friends, 2010 is now a memory...

I'm on tight budget at the moment, and there's no way I can afford another laptop. I paid for my previous one for Aud750, hoping it would be a good investment to start off my designing and creative career... Now that it's stolen I have noone to blame but myself. Krabi Trip

Krabi, Thailand was amazing!!

Great beaches and islands, great food, great shopping, and great time with the family, everything was perfect in the last five days, and it's definitely been worthwhile spending some time away with my family before heading back to Melbourne on Wednesday.

It's been an enjoyable trip so far with Port Dickson, visiting some rain forests, waterfall, beaches, and now THAILAND!

The difference between shopping in Asian and Caucasian countries is that in some areas (like Ao Nang) it's always a necessity to know how to bargain.. Their asking price could sometimes be ridiculous and yet with others, quite reasonable. You never know when to call out a price, and they'll never help you out with it either...

On the first day, I bought a bikini for 400baht (rm 40) (aud 13) Although their asking price was 750 baht. From much of the reviews I've came across before arriving to Thailand, it was advised that we always HALVE the asking price.. However, on the second day, just further down the street, I purchased another set of bikini.. for 250 baht, in turn (rm25) (aud8)

My sincere apologies everyone, I have been rather occupied in the last couple of weeks... Flying back and forth KL and Melbourne.

I know I have not been blogging lately, given that I just arrived in Malaysia but was recently back in Melbourne for a Bachelor of Architecture Interview at RMIT. I am currently spending my last couple of weeks in Malaysia, enjoying the food and the luxury of shopping. In the next couple of days, my family and I will be down at Thailand on a family vacation, snorkeling, kayaking, touring around the city, and hopefully rock climbing... (:

Home has been great (although I classify both Melbourne and Malaysia my home); I am aware that blogging has not been my priority during the last couple of weeks, but I've decided to start fresh, and to continue where I left off...

In the last couple of months I have attended several University interviews, I didn't reveal details on my blog because personally, I wasn't confident of being capable of achieving a reasonable ATAR, I knew that it was a bumpy ride during exam period, and I also knew that given the circumstance that I was in, it was almost impossible for me to achieve a high ATAR. However after VCE was over, I finally realized the importance of my future and that I still had a chance of making a difference, and turning my dreams to reality.

I applied for the Bachelor of Architecture at RMIT, and out of 1500 applicants, it turns out that I was one of the 300 students who were shortlisted for an interview... that is amazing news isn't it? Now that I'm back from my interview... I can honestly say, that everything happens for a reason. What don't break you, makes you stronger...

It was unfortunate that I fell sick a day before, and my illness became worse the following day... It was difficult for me present myself professionally in front of my interviewers, but this is reality. I walked into the room with three university staff members, graduate and a current student, they were all constantly bombarding me with questions that required an answer at the spot.. It was hard answering their questions as I was barely alive myself... BUT, I'm happy and appreciative of my parents support and my VCE result...

Why do I want to be an Architect?

Throughout the years I have created works of art from personal imaginations and inspirations. I have aspirations of becoming someone in this world, someone who is known to be both an artist and an architect. To convey my creative ideas into reality has been the ultimate dream, my parents have been extremely supportive in sending me to Melbourne, known as the top 10 most livable cities in the world, but more importantly, where creative ideas come to life.

I want to be an Architect because I strongly believe there are opportunities for Melbourne to grow; as architects, we have a duty in creating a more livable, comfortable, functional lifestyle yet taking into consideration factors that are occurring in our environment today. I want to be apart of a community where creative intellects unite and ideas are met; Santiago Calatrava, a world renowned Architect calls himself an Artist, his explorations of the human anatomy is evident in several of his buildings; one of which is L’Hemisfèric (Planetarium) located at Valencia, Spain. The symbolism of the eye represents the knowledge which one perceives; the structure of this elliptical shell and elliptical pod cradles like the pupil of the eye. It is iconic inventions like these which triggers my passion, it is a challenge to be creative and still be able to create a multi-functional infrastructure, but that is a challenge that I am eager to endeavor in.

To be a great architect, is to be a great poet. I can’t stress enough of how much I would want to be in this course, but within this period of time of understanding architecture, a great architect is an interpreter of his time, his day, and his age. That is who I am before knowing architecture even existed, I am an artist who acknowledges the beauty surrounding me, I record my day in a sketchbook, taking photographs on the plane looking down and the beautiful cityscape, and my favorite place in the world is my art technology building at school.

Architecture provides a shelter for people; it is a form of art that most people can relate to, the acoustics and lighting, interior and exterior, structure and aesthetics are merged so immaculately to embrace the innovative architecture that architects have created. I acknowledge that architecture is like music frozen in time, architecture defines a sense of heritage of a particular time capsule. It would be greatly appreciated if I could be given this opportunity to prove that one’s imagination and ideas integrated with knowledge in Architecture, future architects will be able to provide more sustainable and innovation living to the future generation.

My father once told me one of God’s greatest gifts to the world is the challenges we face in life; the constant struggle to overcome obstacles, to constantly grow each day, and improve in every way. Architecture is a journey with no absolute destination, we are always learning everyday about the projects we are given, the advancement of technology, how to constantly improve for a better tomorrow.

I am a person who strives in every possible way to be creative; before acknowledging my passion for architecture, I have choreographed dances for school productions, I have designed my own fashion garments, I have produced a range of artworks, and I have also participated in numerous art competitions. Recently I have also started a community art and craft class for children to be creative by the exploration and experimentations of different projects.

This year I have challenged myself by broadening my horizon with a project I completed in Visual Communication and Design, I chose to design a church because architecture was and is still foreign to me. I strived to explore the unknown and unfamiliar, I am an adventurer. I acknowledge that the skills gained from the various projects, has helped me greatly as I am constantly learning and taking up challenges that lies ahead of me. I believe if given this opportunity, I would walk in as an aspiring architect, and to walk out with a vision to inspire others.

Does anyone remember my "Dear Diary" posts?

I love typing up my "Dear Diary" posts every once in awhile, it's umm... very therapeutic... and reflective... and just nice to actually mute my music for a change. It's nice staying up late at night not stressing over exams, or the lack of preparation for our upcoming exam.. or how my life will turn out after leaving high school, stuff like that. It's definitely nice for a change.

Now that I have everything over and done with I can somewhat chillax to reflect on everything that has happened over the past couple of weeks...

Last couple of weeks felt like imprisonment and isolation, despite having loving friends just a phone call away... My perception of life was just gradually becoming more distorted each day... Each day I would see myself completing the exams with confidence, be swept into a variety of adventures that I never thought I 'd experience, and to just enjoy the company of my friends.. Each day I would sink deeper into my perception of reality, only to find out that it was all... a dream.. and throughout the day I would be in bed when I was clearly meant to be stapled onto the chair revising for exams... Each day.. I'd wake up and feel so terrible about not accomplishing anything, and escaping further away from reality to call a friend and everything would feel normal again. Each day, I could see a change in me, the person who I was and the person who I was becoming disgusted me.. But easier said than done, It was tough standing back up from the pit...

I just felt really shit.

Apart from the chaotic lifestyle of VCE, the past couple of days has been extremely enjoyable with my extended cousin's family. ;) As I showed them around Melbourne, Waterfront Docklands, Lygon Street, Hosier Lane, Melbourne Central, Southgate, Chinatown,.. It's been such a wonderful experience to revisit some of Melbourne beautiful landscapes. :) It's finally the holidays and rather than taking a getaway vacation.. the aim of this holiday is... to studylikeaCRAZYmonkey. :) Hope u like the candid shots I took. The story behind this book. This is my journal.

Like any other journal, they are very important to their owners... Apart from my yearly resolutions, daily planning, and art class schedules!! contact numbers, important dates..motivational quotes, bible versus, architecture sketches, and weekly weight record etc.

As my friend always says.. "It is the BEST way of tracking me if I went missing"

It is a record of my life, literally.

Several weeks ago, as I was just repeating the same old routine, just like every other day... Attending school, going back from school, going for Studio Art, then coming home. the usual on going routine... I realized my notebook/journal was no longer in my... bag.. frantic I was. searching up and down, high and low.. called Maccas, Box hill, looked into the common room and the library... for my beloved journal. The feeling of your life slipping away, all because of one book. A book that listed my daily routine from waking up, to shower, to weighing myself. Yes. I have an odd way of expressing OCD.

So.. the loss of my book really did affect me in more ways than one.. I was infront of the computer, stalking all day on Facebook. When Darren called and asked how I was.. "Nothing" was all that was accomplished that day. I had no life.

Darren was concerned, hence went and bought me a new book. The exact same design from Smiggle. (Thanks Lalchand!) I had my life back within 24 hours! Woop!!

So life went on as usual... with my shiny new journal...

Up till today....

As the lunch bell rang, Darren and I walked to the library to get some books for my next lesson. It was all smiles and laughs when Darren and I are together... until... a familiar face came in the picture... hidden within one of the pigeon holes was... a notebook... a notebook much like my new book... but my new book was in my hands? hmm. It's probably just someone elses I thought. Though it is a very uncommon book, I've bought the exact same book for my friend... perhaps it's hers, I thought. I went forward and took the book.. flipped to the first page. and...

"OH MY GOSH. it's my handwritting. my 2010 New Years Resolution!! "

A visit to both public and commercial art galleries, Do you know what the differences are? I decided to bring my sister along to my school excursion... Although she need not know the differences between both public and commercial galleries, I was glad I brought her along to our interesting day out.. She captured heaps of photos on her Nintendo DS and so did I on my camera... It certainly was wonderful looking at the different kinds of art, and ways of marketing artworks in the industry. From the upper end of artworks selling at 16,000 to the ones as low as... free. The participation of audience in an artwork can be quite interesting and meaningless.... at times... :)

Mummy and I had a fairly interesting conversation on our way back home today....

The fact of having a family of five but with daddy living overseas, has brought us (mummy, me, and both my sisters) much closer, mummy tells us everything, and so do we... Despite the little PMS moments which we share... We're generally very open in terms of boys, studies, love, and most importantly, family matters.

On our way back home today, the conversation of Julia Gillard as Australia's very first female Prime Minister came about... I questioned mummy if she would rather spend her entire life striving for success, just as Julia Gillard has.. with a "partner" alongside her, but no children (correct me if I'm wrong with this, it's just an assumption) OR to be a stay-at-home-mum, sacrificing your life for the children, dedicating your time and life towards nurturing your children. A simple concept of loving someone, and to be loved in return.

Supernatural love for the family.

Her answer was.. "I'd rather dedicate my time for the family"

I've always thought otherwise, to achieve success from one's ability.. and to strive for a sense of accomplishment (just as my daddy has) I look up to my father, despite having daddy living overseas most of his life, and the memories we've shared throughout the years... have been very little. I know for a fact that he loves us. Despite the little memories we share throughout teenagehood... my childhood with daddy has been very fulfilling.

To be like my dad or my mum? Or be like Julia Gillard?

All I know is...

When I'm at the age of 60...... I want a husband, and my beautiful children beside me.

So, Mummy and I was watching videos on YouTube during our mother-daughter bonding time.. (lol, that's how we are) We came across this artist... She is astonishingly incredible at what she does... Started drawing at the age of four... with visions of God in her mind, "It was difficult at times" she said... As her mother initially thought it was just a dream, but her family definitely saw something special in this little girl. Today, at the age of 16, She wakes up at 4.am every morning to paint... continuously painting throughout the years... She now owns her own gallery. (click on the site below) She writes poetry and paints her visions on canvas...

Finally completed the English SAC today on A Man For All Seasons, instead of blabbering on how ordinary my day has been... With model making, English SAC, Maths test, and Studio Art from 5.30pm-9.30pm. Life in Year 12 is never easy... Another 72 more days till English examination... My day has been fully occupied with heaps and heaps of work, and preparation for exams... I've been reading heaps of Architectural Books recently, this is one of the few pictures I came across on the August issue of Architectural Record mag. It's the Republic of Korea Pavilion, designed by Minsuk Cho, and exhibited in Shanghai's world expo. Quite extraordinary. (:

After working for the entire day on slicing up balsa pieces... here's are some in-the-progress photos.. lol although it's not yet completed.. Master in Architecture

After attending the presentation of Bachelor of Environments, and Master of Architecture.. I'm almost certain that Architecture is the path I'm taking... Just the idea of designing a large scaled building and taking into consideration of the aesthetics of both exterior and interior of an environmental space really sparks my interest. It is a huge responsibility, but who's to say that I can't manage this? I'd really like to give this a try... and more importantly... be part of a culture that defines Melbourne cityscape. (:

I just had to... "Photowhore!!" with both my new pair of geeky glasses! How unco would it look...wearing a "American-Style" sport jumper along with a pair of thick framed glasses around school? Hm, makes complete sense to me...

I am a try-hard sports athlete!

Now I have perfect-o vision without needing to dehydrate my eyes...

Artists who knows their Maths

Above are a couple of photographs taken from Monash and RMIT Open Day.

Being in Year 12 we're not usually exposed to the construction and structure of the architecture; In Visual Communication and Design, as a talented broad bunch we are... They are some aspiring automotive designers, graphic designers, artists, fashion designers and product designers... We are certainly a quirky bunch. As for me, still juggling between Architecture and Art... I guess I'll find out at the end of the day wouldn't I? I love Architecture, as my new found interest... It's the understanding of space in an Architecture; the "level" of thinking in the formation of Architecture, building the foundation and continuously manipulating the structure of the sculpture.. It's so complex and enticing, there's always something to learn... and there's my expressive other half, - Art. I love Art, whether if it's the Art of fashion, paintings, design, card-making, recycled art... It's that moment of solitude and stillness, whether if it's lighting up the children's faces in a short couple of hours, or painting for a sense of peace in my heart, or exercising the creativity of the mind... I'd love to do both, but there's only a couple of months left to make that change...

Molding like a Vegetable

Molding in my bed over the past couple of days, when I'm not out for dinner or attending open days, or teaching the children art... Yep, I'll be molding in my bed...

Caught the flu since Thursday, and it's been getting worse ever since... especially when I've been busy gathering information at RMIT, accompanying a friend cos he missed out on Inception last weekend, and having fun with the kids. Today I'm feeling a whole lot better, missed a day at school to have some more rest time in bed...

Another three more months, and everything will be over... high school will be at end for us all, and if lucky, university, it not.. pathways... or worse? straight off to work... That's my perception of the worst case scenario. (But others are welcome to say otherwise)

Today, our Year 12 jumpers finally arrived!

& off I go everyone, I would seriously hope to end up in a University next year, seriously.
