Months ago, I visited Tim Burton's exhibition.

For those people who are keen on entering the mind of a genius, understanding his perspective, developing a deeper knowledge on contemporary art, digital culture, and experiencing his personal journey.. I strongly advice to visit exhibitions like Tim Burton's and Disney's Dreams Come True. There are (in my perspective) the best way to experience someone's life works, to develop a new appreciation and perspective on works outside of your genre. Also, this is what makes Melbourne so Marvelous and Unique. (:

A visit to both public and commercial art galleries, Do you know what the differences are? I decided to bring my sister along to my school excursion... Although she need not know the differences between both public and commercial galleries, I was glad I brought her along to our interesting day out.. She captured heaps of photos on her Nintendo DS and so did I on my camera... It certainly was wonderful looking at the different kinds of art, and ways of marketing artworks in the industry. From the upper end of artworks selling at 16,000 to the ones as low as... free. The participation of audience in an artwork can be quite interesting and meaningless.... at times... :)

So, Mummy and I was watching videos on YouTube during our mother-daughter bonding time.. (lol, that's how we are) We came across this artist... She is astonishingly incredible at what she does... Started drawing at the age of four... with visions of God in her mind, "It was difficult at times" she said... As her mother initially thought it was just a dream, but her family definitely saw something special in this little girl. Today, at the age of 16, She wakes up at 4.am every morning to paint... continuously painting throughout the years... She now owns her own gallery. (click on the site below) She writes poetry and paints her visions on canvas...

Two is better than One

Thought today I'd combine two posts in one... (: My studio art artworks as well as the newly designed signboard which will be displayed infront of my home! (: Well it is rather exciting, very exciting infact... Given that I've been taking a short break over the past "couple" of hours... This would be an excellent kickstart to begin my homework as soon as I'm done updating the blog. Soo... what's ze up? Besides everyone cramming in last minute studying for their upcoming exams (excluding me) I've been rather alright.. both my folios are handed in, next up would be producing final works, and visual communication architecture. VCE is rather hectic, but I'll be fine... (:

Human Anatomy

Hello Everbody, :) Haven't blogged in abit...

Above are some drawing shots taken from my Studio Art visual diary. (: I'm currently learning about the human anatomy, in structuring one's outlook figure. The bone structure, is evident in structuring the appearance of the figure... last year I've taken the time and effort in learning all about the feature.. of people from various generation.. Saggy skin, youthful skin, texture, variation of lines, various art mediums.. Yes, last year I've accomplished a fair bit (:

As for 2010, I've decided to focus.. rather than the feature... I've chosen to concerntrate on figures.. complexity and flexibility versus simple and structural.

Japanese Fan

Age: 4-12

What you need:

• 14x18 white paper
• watercolours/coloured pencils
• paint brushes
• fans or pictures of fans
• popsticle sticks
• tape

Fold paper in half horizontally

On the folded side, cut half of the fan shape (like a rainbow)

Using watercolour/coloured pencil. Colour in the desired shape or pattern onto the paper.

Let dry

Fold the paper back and forth, creasing each time.

Gather the paper together and form a fan, and staple together.

Tape the popsicle sticks together to form a handle

In preparing for my sisi's short talk, I thought seeing as my little sister and I haven't been doing much art and craft lately, this would be an awesome opportunity to show me off to her fellow classmates & be able to work together as sisters in creating an awesome project! :)

Hello Everyone! It's been quite awhile since I blogged. Yes Yes, hectic lifestyle down here in Hobart. Life's been amazing living alone, although I'm missing my family heaps.. Every second of the day, the life of no parenting guidance, but the love of friends and the support of others. It's been amazing. Over the past couple of days, I've been caught up with working on my final project. As an exhibition was held on Friday, and this summerschool course takes up 12.5% of my Uni course. Which ultimately means that I've completed one uni subject at the age of 17. (turning 18). Stayed up at Uni till 11.30 every night.. Working my hardest hoping for no regrets in the long run- my current motto. "Live with no regrets" I've painted a total of 140 pieces of glass and sewing them into a skirt :) Very ambitious, unfortunately due to the time contraints, I've only managed to complete a working progress of my final piece. (: Good enough for me, I've tried. Snapshots of my last couple of days at UTAS, Launceston.

Came across this studio on our way bumming at Launnie, and ohmygeebees.. This Artist Leoni Duff works as an Artist as her main career, most of the paintings she paints would sell for the price of 4,000 but painting an artwork is time consuming ofcourse. One painting takes up approximately 5 weeks to complete, and that would be a month wage? For a piece of painting. They're perfecto nonetheless.

Later, browsed around some retail shops, and took some snapshots here and there, they're beautiful sculptures done in metal, glass, clay. My perception towards sculptures and glasswares has altered through the experience of UTAS.




& this is the exhibition held on Friday which I was talking about earlier. Artworks, sculptures, and furnitures completed in this exhibition was done in 6 days. A major achievement by the students from courses which varied from Comtemporary Painting to Furniture Assault. It is fascinating as summerschool is developing talents from all various form of Art. (:

Yep Yep, those are a couple of finished projects by the students, fascinating aye? Through glass studies, I've enabled to identify glass which are costly and the inexpensive, the methods in molding a glass, the elements contained in glass, and the skill in approaching glass with different method, such as slumping, on-glazing, molding, and the temperature in which the kiln has to be set in. (: Launceston, enabled me to not only be independent, but to learn from the talented within a creative environment, It's difficult to explain, but people which I've came across are architectures, to artist, and also bachelor of education soon-to-be teachers. Hence, this journey has been undoubtedly valueble (: and definately worth taking another shot in.. Nextyear, I'll apply for metal casting for shizzle. (:
