Family Portrait

18 years after...
If only I could sum up the last couple months in a sentence,
If only I could paint my memories on a canvas,
If only life was as simple as a fairytale story.
Beginning, Climax, and a Happy Ending.

Yesterday is but today's memory, and Tomorrow is today's dream

It's one of those moments...

Look how much I've grown!

I miss BeiJing

I miss the benefits of being in clubs

I miss Bali Airports

I miss not worrying how hideous I look.

But most importantly, I miss...

those good old times.

"Haiyayaya" Malaysian/Asian tone kicks in.. this feeling steering within me...

As I flip through the photo albums, speaking of photo albums...

WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED TO THEM.

that. honestly. annoys the hell out of me.

I miss the good old photo albums we had, those that were able to be safely kept and stored in our homes, flipping through pages.. reminiscing the beautiful moments we once had.

This issue never really got to me, up till today, at this exact moment...

"In a selfish world, the selfish succeeds"- Barbie movie.

As much as we would love to deny that statement, it is undeniably true...

The simplest least offensive example would be.. Me.

I've had so much happening lately, I've completely forgotten, deserted everything else that matters. But that's not my wrongdoing... it's just how life is.

I've never really said this out loud, though I've heard it a couple of times from others.. specificly from my sister... and I'd always be the one turning aside, wondering "Why in the world would you think that way, aren't you satisfied with life?"

& yet...now I'm agreeing with her point of view.

"I never want to grow up"

We can never turn back time, as much as we would LOVE to... looking at your parents in a completely different way as you would now..

"Papa, how'd you know I was pretending to sleep"

secretly thinking he knows it all, and he's psychic.

That thought will never come across in my life, ever again... and yet how much I missed being naive, so trusting, and so loving my dad.

I miss my family, and yet I don't make the effort to call them.

I miss talking to them, and yet I am afraid we'll run out of words to say, eventually turning to awkward silence.

I miss loving my parents unconditionally.

I miss being a child again.

Mummy's back.
I'm still sick
I hate being sick.
I used to love it, looked forward to it,
But now,
I can't afford to be sick anymore.

Grr.
Did not do jack over the weekend.
So freaking frustrated.

Childhood Picture

This is a replacement blog from my usual childhood picture blogs on Saturday!

No, I haven't been drawing lately. Well I have sorta-ish, but their just experimental stuff, from oil pastel pieces inspired by Odilon Redon, to Chinese painting, ink painting, and some sketches inspired by Marc Chagall. :D

Sisters argue alot, too much at times....
I have been pretty occupied with SAC preperations, Sleep, and Art.
Will be busier in the next couple of days...

....Yet moments like these are simply priceless. (:

Family will be up in New Zealand for Kenneth's wedding (my cousin), as or Hayley and I? Four days alone, with the house all to ourselves! (Woohooo)

I'll blog about the happenings on my blog, life without a mum (temporarily), and umm...

you'll find out eventually,

as for now...

study.study.study.

With love,

Sherry

Experimented on forming human figures with eclipses. (:

currently working on my first resolution

Childhood Picture Time.

@ Bali, Indonesia.

I'm very very grateful, as I'm looking at this picture. My sisters and I were given the opportunity to visit a couple of extremely beautiful places throughout our lifetime. Though pressure in school's rising, my family is falling apart, I'd rather be alone than with anyone else.

I am indeed very very fortunate. (:

Lazy BumBum

Update update on my weekend. (:
9.00am- Wake up for 10minutes run + work out
10.00am- Prepare for YumCha
10.15- About to get in the car.
10.16- (I'm assuming?) Heard mummy screaming
10.17- Wondering, What now?
10.17 THIS!!!

Flippin' Hell, bad enough that the car got egg'd a couple of times, and now this. Well, It didn't really get to me anyways. Shan't over-exaggerate how I felt. What matters is.. the car's good now. Squeeky Sparkly Clean. Thankfully, it didn't cost us as much as we expected. (Aud 2,000) but instead.. (Aud 70) :)

7.00- Family discussion. On the importance of our health, family, and love for one another.

My family's been following some asian drama recently,The Gem of Life. To some extent, this drama reminded us all of one another. The story centers around three sisters, Sylvia, Constance, and Jessica. Sylvia as the eldest sister, who strives to work hard in everything she does. (not me) Constance, (the second) who enjoys designing and is always told what to/not to do in the family, and last but not least. Jessica, who has always been ambitious, money-minded, and independent. As the series progressed, I saw more and more of myself in Constance, and my sister in Jessica. Though we're personalities, priorities, and values differs from one another, by the end of the day.. we're still a family.

That dear octopus from whose tentacles we never quite escape, nor, in our inmost hearts, ever quite wish to. - a family...

Natalie's 16th Birthday @ Box Hill Gardens.

Beautiful Natalie just turned 16!

Wish you all the best Nat, and thanks heaps of your constant support when I first came to Melbourne, and also being my very first friend in Chinese School. (:

Battery went flat after a couple of shots! Flippin'~
It's all my fault for not going prepared. (more photos on Nat's cam)
However my day was awesome with or without my camera functioning properly. Haven't seen the girls in awhile, 4 months to be exact! Thus, today was definately those moments I'd hold onto for a little while longer. (:

Me when I was WAY younger. (:

Here's another old school pic of me when I was only a couple months old, however unlike the others.. I've got heaps to tell for this one!

As most* of you would probs have realised, My eyes are literally crossed in the photo above. Reason because, I used to have crossed eye when I was wayy younger.. Noone could tell what I was looking at, since my eyes were always retarded. Hence, as I got a little older, the doctors suggested to cover one eye with an eye patch. As my left eye improved tremendously, my right eye became lazier by the day. By the time I was in Grade 2, my mates would question me about my eye..

"Ooii, I'm talking to you. Why aren't you looking at me?"

"I am"

"No, you're looking behind me!!"

"NOOOO"

Seriously, noone understood how frustrated I was, not my parents, my friends, nor my family. I had to "work out" my eyes for 30 minutes every night continuously. Even today, my crossed-eye/Lazy eye syndrome would randomly haunt me every now and then. To my close friends, please do pay attention to these signs, their hilarious. (:

Note: I looked up Lazy eye syndrome and found interesting interesting facts on treating Amblyopia.

link: http://www.formulamedical.com/Topics/Head&Neck/lazy%20eye%20amblyopia.htm

As my parents did not pay much attention to my crossed eyes at a young age, it says it in the article that lazy eyes tend to not move as smoothly after 6 months of age. One eye with a tendency to focus inwards, upwards, or outwards while the other follows objects normally. and difficulty with tasks that require estimating distances, such as catching or throwing a ball. (Geeze this explain SO MUCH why I'm still SUCKING AT SPORTS!! and my shit ability to catch the ball)

(copied and pasted)

WARNING!
Never assume that a child will outgrow lazy eye. If treatment is delayed until the child enters school (ages 6 to 7), the problem may no longer be treatable, leaving the youngster with permanent loss of vision in one eye.

Again, that statement above explains my blurry vision in one eye and clearer in the other.

Crossed eyes are an early warning sign of lazy eye syndrome.

p.s Greeeaat, me reminiscing the good old days has officially turned into a Amblyopia documentary post.

crossed eye (:

Lazy eye :)

Good to know, I turned out pretty alright! Bahahahaha

Love is in the air, all you beautiful faces out there! (:

Today has been pretty awesome I must say, started off the day by cleaning up my room! (: Well refurnishing it with last minute touch ups for tomorrow's inspection.

Then bus'd to Knox, meeting up with a couple of mates for a movie, Bride Wars!! (:

Bahahaha, I'm literally laughing just thinking about this afternoon. As it was only me, Jonathan, Darren, Chris, Victor & Nathaniel who bummed at Knox today. Dragged their unwilling butts along to the cinema to watch Bride Wars.. Though it sounded like fun at first, dragging five guys just so they could accompany you to watch ChickFlicks, getting them more in touched with their feminie side, was however different than I expected. So I thought to myself wouldn't it be much more fun watching movies like these with a bunch of girls instead? Well, I'm sure the guys enjoyed it as much as I did (:

Love my friends

Ahaha, This picture was secretly taken behind Jonathan's back. Apparently that man once played for liverpool. & uhm...

I was told that, Darren was given two thumbs up for his top by that man, and not long after He came up and started a conversation. Telling Darren He once played for liverpool (in his british accent) and took out a photo of his teammates back in the days..

Unfortunately I take absolute no interest in soccer/footie, but by looking at that photo.. Ahaha my assumption was that they were both clearly hitting on each other due to their coincidental matching tops, love at first sight! (:

Darren " THAT GUY'S A LEGENDD!"

Red lippo (:

Though I have been feeling distant from God, and even once doubt His ability.

As you have more in Life, you feel less needy towards Him

I believe there is a God, He's created everything and anything around us.

& He does speak through the bible.

Though written thousands of years ago, but God's words still is relevant to us today.

One step at a time, Sherry...

Old School Pictures :)

Hello, the Dead speaking. (:

Heaps has been happening these couple of days,

but I'm tired.

....too tired...

Goodbye pretty posters.. ):

Yes, Mummy's planning to sell this house off, and we're all moving to the "other" house just down the street, So... technically, I'll be 10minutes walk away from my current place. :)

& & & I'm making every Saturday, Sherry's Old School Picture Day!

It's really inspiring, seeing how much I've grown as a person, and how little photos we do keep these days, (all stored in the computer) & as soon as we get a new one "BAM" All our photos go down the drain...

It's also one of the reason why I absolutely love posting up pictures on my blog, if anything goes wrong with this computer, I'll always have my backup blog pictures to refer to :)

As not many of my friends know much about me, or my history, or my life. since I've moved one too many times, from houses, schools,to friends; Really, it is a new begining everyday, new encounters, new opportunities, and ofcourse, a new day.

But Before I move on with today, leaving all these beautiful memories, it's nice grasping to the ones worth remembering, & never disregard your family & friends. (:
