Last day of January

Spent the last day of January at Chelsea Beach! (: hah. When everyone goes back to school, we undergraduate Uni students are still on holidays! Another month of more fun, more beachin', and sun tanning under the sun! Alrighty, play time's over.. and the hard work begins...

Today was definitely a perfect day to hold a pool party! Weather was great, the pool was clean, it's a Sunday and almost everyone managed to turn up! Woop~ I just love having a pool at home, friends near and far could come for a dip before uni/tafe/work begins!

The Aquarium

One of the few people that I've managed to stay in contact with since migrating to Melbourne. It was initially his idea to drag me to the Aquarium, but I ended up dragging him to the National Gallery of Victoria instead. :D We visited the National Gallery of Victoria first, from Chinese to European Art, then cityscape photography to world renowned designer furnitures. we visited the antartica penguins, baby hammerheads and jelly fishes after (: It's been awhile since I visited the Aquarium, revisiting the aquarium today definitely gave me a new perspective of appreciating sea creatures. Their so beautifully and wonderfully made ^.^ Did you know jelly fishes are made up of 95% water? and blind cave fishes.. are literally blind but could navigate their way purely by depicting sound waves around them.. and how about the fishes... :) I'm so intrigued by their pattern and colours... nature certainly has a way of showing it's beauty. ;)

Happy New Year! 2010 was a good year overall. I started an Art and Craft class, completed VCE and was satisfied with the result, had the best birthday throughout my 18 years, friendships were strengthened, and received my very first scholarship (: haha. Don't mean to brag, but 2010 was a good year indeed. I believe 2011 will be a good year too... I have some New Years Resolution written in my diary, hopefully I'll stick to it as long as possible to be able to see some results. Last night my friends and I experience Melbourne's 2011 countdown, standing in the heart of Melbourne, experiencing the 360 degrees fireworks spectacular, caught in the mosh pit, celebrating New Years Eve with live music and great friends, 2010 is now a memory...

This is to a bright New Year, and a fond farewell to the old; welcome to the things that are yet to come, and to the memories we hold.

Krabi Trip

Krabi, Thailand was amazing!!

Great beaches and islands, great food, great shopping, and great time with the family, everything was perfect in the last five days, and it's definitely been worthwhile spending some time away with my family before heading back to Melbourne on Wednesday.

It's been an enjoyable trip so far with Port Dickson, visiting some rain forests, waterfall, beaches, and now THAILAND!

She's amazingly fit and energetic for a 80 year old, it amazes me too that she was swimming from one end to another while my sisters and I were fooling around with the camera...

Glimpse of the shops at Ao nang Beach, Thailand.

The difference between shopping in Asian and Caucasian countries is that in some areas (like Ao Nang) it's always a necessity to know how to bargain.. Their asking price could sometimes be ridiculous and yet with others, quite reasonable. You never know when to call out a price, and they'll never help you out with it either...

On the first day, I bought a bikini for 400baht (rm 40) (aud 13) Although their asking price was 750 baht. From much of the reviews I've came across before arriving to Thailand, it was advised that we always HALVE the asking price.. However, on the second day, just further down the street, I purchased another set of bikini.. for 250 baht, in turn (rm25) (aud8)

I know I know, its not much of a difference after converting to Aud dollars BUT every dollar counts when your not earning the money (:

Day 2 Phi Phi Island Tour

I'll make a video after this post, given that these photos seriously doesn't do this tour justice.. The water was crystal clear, tourists were sexy in their bikinis and... underwear... witnessing my grandma showing off her assets on the beach was priceless, and photographing some beautiful corals at three different islands was a first. (:

A drive down to Thara Park for a quick lunch at a nearby restaurant.. Oh my gosh, their fried fish with mango salad was truly memorable, and tom yam... was yum yum "syok betul", and their crab salad.. was non like I've ever seen. (:
