I spoke to a friend today, who spent Aud $200 on colouring and getting her hair cut.. By the end of it all, she wasn't satisfied with her final look! Well colouring your hair blonde to brunette is a big risk, no doubt. But, $200? and still not satisfied? Something must've went wrong in the process...
Not living up to the client's expectations? Not clearly understanding the client's needs? Either way.. there must be some miscommunication in between.

In my opinion, noone knows it better than you yourself, Noone understands your desired look better than you do... What else is there to stop you? ;)

Knowing the cheapskate that I am... Its been tough getting a costume and also a present for Vivian's Birthday.. (yes, on very very tight budget indeed) With only.. a certain amount of money to spend.. & Op shops weren't available anywhere due to Good Friday and Easter Monday, leaving local retail stores my only option. Though I havetha say.. it wasn't all that bad... :D

Experiment: Epic Fail.

Not epic fail entirely, but I liked it better before.. Mainly because I actually get to wear that out without looking like a moron. The rusty jeans before was more casual-everyday look outfit. (goes well with everything) However, this on the other hand...Dont go well with anything. I guess in a way, it does somewhat reminds me of those tie-dye tops that can be purchased is a any balinese or retail stores.

Although I won't be wearing it out, but... the jeans does not look that dreadful...

This jeans might possibly be able to pull it off at some art exhibition, on display. lol.

Or

The market? Along with all the other interesting looking people.

High Fashion Runway Shows!

These itchy fingers will never be satisfied.

Bleach it once, the black jeans turns brown.

Bleach it twice, brown jeans turns reddish brown;

Bleach it again, reddish brown jeans turns orange red.

I now own a pair of orange red jeans! ;)

A couple of accidental mistakes were made from my first and second attempt. However I eventually started getting the hang of bleaching as I worked my way through the third time..

Note to self, never pour the bleach onto the jeans straight from the bottle. As It'll leave patches of white stains, rather than the colour you were trying to obtain. Instead, pour some onto your gloves, then rub your way through the jeans to create texture and the colour shade .

Or you could perhaps pour some whitening bleach onto the sink along with lukewarm water, soak it overnight and the lighter shade is then developed.

Experimented on some make up this morning. I've never really knew how to apply make up since.. ever. Although I do enjoy watching make up tutorials, and have been questioned a number of times on why I watch make-up tutorials? yet have never attempted on experimenting it myself. Hmm.. that got me thinking.

I guess.. make-up to me is somewhat similar to painting? the difference between them both is, one's on canvas, and the other is on the skin.

"Once creative, you're creative in every aspect" Mr Matinez.

He believes so, and I can agree to some extent? Mr Matinez a visual communication teacher, freelance designer, songwriter, and singer/guitarist? Me on the other hand, I enjoy all aspects of art, whether if it's drawing on paper, expressing through movements, singing, and even "face painting"

Make up is a form of face-painting, in my perspective. Reasons for applying make up are...

to accentuate ones bone structure

brighten some areas of the face;

bring depths to some part of the face.

And most importantly,

it defines who you are or the image you're hoping to portray.

Therefore this gives us more reasons to play around with make up. (:

visited TOP ARTS 2008 at the national gallery of victoria today, top arts is basically all the top artworks done by VCE students all around Victoria, students who completed Art & Studio Art VCE in year 2008,works which also stood out from the others.

As I promised in my previous post, pictures of my final copy will be up as soon as I've completed my collograph piece! :) Thus, I ought to stick to my words. (literally words) by posting up not just the final copy, but my progress of .. my very first attempt of collography. :) Do be expecting a heap of pictures..

In my opinion, art is all about seeing and feeling a certain object.Knowing everything we own today were inspired by previous generations, regardless of the artists or its ability to adorn our walls at home, modern-technology, or keyboard that I'm typing onto, everything & I mean everything started from scratch, with materials as basic as a pencil and paper.

Art is like the sun shining onto the earth, a gift that God's given to us to share with others, and the rainbow is our hope after shower, Altogether represents life, as you need both the sun and the rain to make it's colors appear.

Whether if it's a random scribble due to frustration, depression, or just for the sake of others, you and I know that that"random scribble" once meant something far greater than what it's initially worth.

Had a little fun with colours, inspired by the high fashion, top-selling magazines.. BAZAAR and Vogue. (2006 edition) ;) *wink*
Can't help it if the only person who purchases magazine's my cousin, whom unfortunately left her magazines here gathering dust as she got back to Malaysia two weeks after May2006.

Though there are infact countless mistakes done in the picture above, then again.. I'm still figuring out the techniques of shaping the eye, enhancing your "natural beauty" by intencify or softening in regards to the colour tone used.
A couple of things I've picked out by looking at several model's eye make ups..
Fact no 1: Coloured eyes can seriously go nude! not literally, but since their eyes are naturally gorgeous..going plain would best suit them, in my opinion. (: top-model look, not celebrity..
wherelse asian eyes, (kinda sad actually) Yet on the brightside, we're forgiven to have tonnes of makeup on without giving the impression of being slutty. For example: Why are asian girls forgiven to wear mini skirts? yet cauasian aren't?
Fact: Most asians are born with unbelievably short legs, thus if they wore mini skirts, it would just seem as usual short skirts, on the other hand.... winkwink*
Back to eye-shadowing experimentation (: (with colorpencils)
In every eyeshadow videos you've seen, darker shade on the outside and lighter as you blend it in, It's also important, having a foundation layer, to enhance your eye, forming light&shade (points to the gold eyeshadow above) . Plus,experimented with silver on peach & peach on silver. Results turned out differently from one another, based on the my colourings, oh! & not forgetting.. Lighter shade on your eyelids, and darker underneath.. :)

~one day I'll try it out on my palette
