TERM 2 BEGINS...

Holiday's been a blast!

I guess I’ve had my fun within the past couple of weeks, op shopping, catch up with mates, spending time with family, they’ve all been truly awesome (: However once again, it’s time to head back to the books, school, and a scheduled life.
I guess, scheduled life isn’t so bad after all, wake up, school, study, internet, sleep.
Easy as pie.

A term’s gone by, and another term is just beginning.
Let’s see where I’m at with 2009 New Year’s Resolution, and where I'm heading towards…

First on the list is none other than, exercising regularly?
Hmm.. Been way off track lately I have to agree. Hm, I can’t seem to recall the last time having a healthy meal either. (Oh Crap!)

Third on the list is making an impact. Does purchasing form Salvos considered as one?
Technically, all the money from Salvos goes to the people in need. And I’ve bought whole lots of stuff from Salvos from Wheelers Hill, Glen Waverley, and Knox to Mount Waverley. And all of the money goes to…? People in need. It’s a win win situation I must say. ;)

Moving on to… Artworks.
I’ve started with an idea! And have been working on it.. No need to worry about me when it comes to Art. :)

(Study. Revise. Get onto work, Nerd)
The following resolution puts me to shame, unsurprisingly. I need to work on this, and fast.
The next resolution puts me to shame, too. Money I’ve received from my birthday last month. I’ve spent it all. Holy-moly……

Somewhere in the middle of Nowhere

I posted a blog post earlier, but due to unpopular demand (a couple), I was required to take it off my blog.

As readers of this blog, you'd probably figured out my life has been pretty bumpy in the last couple of days, weeks, or even months. I needed some time alone, a chance for me to do things by myself; To savour freedom and independence, and listen to my inner voice for a change- "Me Time".

Hence for today, I decided to spend some time alone, away from family, away from friends. Just me. & Honestly, I've learnt to enjoy moments of solitude, learning more about myself when I've got not much to rely on. Learning about who I want to be, & neccessary adjustments to make for that to happen.

Took photos with my mobile at the start, since I thought I left the cam battery back home. (Turns out I didn't) by the time I found it in the very bottom of my bag, it was already four! Had no time to lose, walked around.. took as many photos as I could (anything's better than the 3.2megapixel camera!) then rushed back to National Gallery of Victoria, bummer, that was closed too.

Before heading into the juicy bits on my day, I'm having the urge to yell out in capitals "I ENJOYED TIME ALONE THOROUGHLY!" (: Though photos won't be up till tomorrow (or the day after), I've got a couple hidden in picasa!

Weird how I did feel as if my body was leading most of the time, and my mind was swifting away to "other places". Only because there were so many places visited today, First was the alley cafes along some Street, then walked abit further to Crown Shopping Centre, bummed around while keeping my eyes wide open for any signs of danger (bahaha); asked for directions to Immgration Museum, inspiring nonetheless, makes me feel as if I'm taking the opportunity given for granted, walked to Flinders Street, Moomba Festival was on! Visited National Gallery of Victoria, Union Lane (well-known for Graffitis), State Library- Australian painters Exhibition photographed by R.Ian Llyod, Collins Street- well-known for brands such as Channel, Gucci, Louie Vuitton were located, trained back to Melbourne City Central and did more "window" shopping.

Shall illustrate more on this tomorrow (:

ME TIME

Though this is MY blog, and I'M the only author of this blog. However, as I was browsing through blogs earlier, art blogs, mummy blogs, gossip blogs. I've come to realised that for the remaining 10 hours I had in a day. (excluding school) I spent them all on the world wide web. By the end of the day, I've accomplished nothing. No homework, No sport, No exercising, No nothing. Day by day, without realizing my day has just gone by, living a life just for the sake of living. (slightly harsh) It really got me thinking. So what if that artwork was the absolutely beautiful, or Rihanna got beaten up in the face? or That mummy blogger just dropped off her children to school. Does that really matter? Wake up call Sherry! As comfortable as it is clicking through websites, knowing everything about everyone; By the end of it all.. You're not part of their lifes, and their clearly not in yours.
Hence, I'm posting up a "Me Time" or "Things to Achieve" section on the right corner, just so.. I can keep this up, and look back to my blog whenever I don't.

Had to prettify my diary, just so I could take a second look.

Commit to be Fit

Better to hunt in fields, for health unbought,

Than fee the doctor for a nauseous draught,

The wise, for cure, on exercise depend;

God never made his work for man to mend.

New Year's Resolution

Ola~everyone, the long awaited post has finally arrived!

I've decided to post up a couple of my New Year's Resolution due to the happy chappy mood that I'm currently in. *Mohahahaha* Though it's 4 minutes to 4am, I'm still as ecstatic as ever!

Today's been awesome, life's finally turned around for a change.. Perhaps because I've been pre-occupied with my cousin's party, re-decorating my room, & movie night back home-"Dark Knight".

I've managed to keep my mind off a couple of unhappy thoughts for today. :)

Though it's easy peasy to blabber on about life, denying how badly the situation's affected you, hiding rather than confronting.. These basic "knowledge" a teenager's gotta comprehend, however.. it's completely different when you're put to "the" situation. Nonetheless, I've been letting it get to me for the last couple of days, not today. :)

I guess.. I've understood the basic concept of human nature. When a situation gets out of hand, the best thing to do.. is don't bother. A new saying I've decided to live by "See no evil, Hear no evil, Speak no evil. Besides, life's tough.. mind our own business before we start minding others.

Oki, done blabbering. :)

I've gather up a couple of "Goals to Achieve in 2009" and "Top 10 Need To Learn" for Year 2009.

A not-so-fresh Beginning, with a Fresh Positive Mindset.

*still holding on to that thought*

I think I can, I think I can, I know I can...

Fortunately in year 2008, I've managed to achieve most of my new years resolution, and wish lists// Apart from.. piercing my navel. Frankly, I've recently started having doubts about navel piercing, I mean it was considered sexy when celebrities did it, friends did it, belly dancers getting it. But on the other hand, people who doesn't have their navel pierced are JUST as Attractive & Sexy.

Yess.. meh, I'vedecided to not think about getting my navel pierced for now.

Here is the test to find whether your mission on earth is finished. If you're alive, it isn't.

Life is like a coin. You can spend it any way you wish, but you only spend it once

Hence, Here are my New Year's Resolution!

Exercising more frequently! Placing at the very top of my list, yes it's exercising. :) Though exercising is fun in some occasion, it's definately hardwork too.. burn off those calories. :) Thus, eating in moderation comes second in the list.

Eating right, grr.. I give in to desserts too easily, it's frustrating. :) This Year.. I'll find my way out from this terrible terrible eating habit.

As awesome as I already am.

I've decided to spread my awesomeness around, thus this year.. I wanna reach out & make an impact! :) How exactly... I do not know how.

No doubt in year 2008, the artworks I've completed is by far the least, compared to recent years. I love art, I love to experiment, I will certainly be challenging myself in the months to come, Watch Out!

Laughs Out Loud at this, I couldn't find a proper happy student studying hard on google. Perhaps I didn't look hard enough. But anyways, everyone in Year 11 & 12 gets the picture. We have practically 2 more years of highschool years, let's make year 2009 the best year result YET.

save money

Without a job to cover my expanses, life's been pretty tight with this 17 y'o. However, in year 2009. I've promised myself to set aside some money for rainy day whenever I do receive a windfall.

Last but not least, Blog More!

Need I say more..?

Procrastination is King

Waking up yesterday, finding myself aching everywhere. Both legs and thighs, and then I thought...
No, need to exercise! 3 more days left!! Unfortunately THAT mentality didn't end up helping, not mentioning the weather!! FAR OUT, as soon as I stepped outta the door, I felt like curling up in bed instead, and not getting off throughout the day Geeze, Speaking of LAZY?

However, I did managed to get "some" work done, cleaned up my room and packed my stuff for Malaysia! *grins* Apart from it all, the only reason that explains my aching thighs and legs would only be my lack of stretching before and after the run.

p.s Me and my beloved friend Steffi made a promise.... :) shall illustrate on that later tonight! :)

update//
Worked out abit this afternoon, then was caught up with asian dramas (laughs out loud) completed 25 episodes of chinese drama in 2 days! :) That includes watching from 10.30-7.30am on Saturday 4pm-12.55am :) To sum it all up, today has been epic failure in cardio exercising.. Though that doesn't change tomorrow's flight, "grr.. if only flights are allowed to postpone" ahahahahaha, dream on.
Okay, since holiday started since Thursday last week, Steffi and I made a promise to each other! Within these two months of not seeing each other, we'll be working our bums out to lose weight! :) Highly impossible to resist Malaysian's roti canai && satays, but I'll survive! I'll post up my photos tomorroww my love! Have an awesome holiday peeps, I know I will :)

So true,
In most occasions, living life to it's fullest could easily be mistaken with having fun, spending an excessive amount on partying, getting drunk & even getting laid.
focusing on.. temporary enjoyment, yet foreseeing the bigger picture.
what's living life to it's fullest in my point of view?
aiming high. setting goals. do whatever that comes in mind that's beneficial. & begin planning your day!
hanging on to that thought a tad longer..

self explanatory... :)

It's time to take my own advice and...
Focus on my life in order to have an IMPACT!
Though I've said that for one too many times, yet this time's no different from the others.. "I just feel it in my bones" that this week might be slightly different; This week might turn out slightly extraordinary compared to what I'm used to; This week might be a turning point of my life...
lists of things to do for the coming week:

  • Spend quality time with Grandpa, reminding him of the good old days
  • More Practice on face-painting

(preperation for beloved sister's 6th birthday bash)

  • eating 3 well-proportioned meal daily
  • keeping homework up to date!
  • FOCUS TO HAVE AN IMPACT!

chinese proverb-A child's life is like a piece of paper on which every person leaves a mark

a moment to reflect.. see how the heaven&earth "meet"?
First day back, & I'm already behind.. with Maths, English, Science
It's difficult stuffing more than one information into your head, & tomorrow is likely to be the same. (especially in my case)Lessons, lessons, & more lessons. It's easy to lose the joy of learning amidst the crush of facts & figures.
Wouldn't it be easier having only 1 subject daily, that way.. I wouldn't have to add one more piece of information into my overcrowded brain. (ahah)

WOW! We're up to a Brand new month!
A couple of things I'm looking forward to already!

  • ideal weight (48kilos)
  • (Been eating 3 reasonably well proportioned meals daily
  • Draw!
  • (experimented with all different types of medium on different materials in Art & Visual Communication) So much fun! :0
  • Drink more water!

Progress lies not in enhancing what is,but in advancing toward what will be.

-Kahlil Gibran

I've been longing for this moment,

a person whom I miss truly since.2005

my long lost friend,OngSuYin!

What an awesome way to start off the month! Still beautiful the way she is, OngSuYin. Haven't seen her for quite some time now, by saying that I meant, 1 and a half year perhaps? If only all my actions were recorded on tape, live video, dvd, of me yelling in excitement, & still yelling as I got home!
Well obviously, u'd be the same I bet.. Imagine you leaving your bestfriends for Melbourne, and coincidently 2 years later..one of them decides to come along! Promises kept were yet to come true.. till today!

back in the day..

To the end of hols && the beginning of a new semester..

Jump, and you will find out how to unfold your wings as you fall

~50cents earrings from groove

Not only are we up to the 7th month of the year, also the beginning of a brand new semester! Time flies when your enjoying life, doesn't it? Thus, to start of a fresh new semester, a list of goals awaits! Getting me pumped up for a fresh new semester!

  1. ideal weight (48kilos) In order to achieve such challenging goal, I've previously made a promise to my maid in Malaysia whom has been working for us for the past 6 years.. && for when I return, I'll be a healthy happychappy sherry! ;)
  2. draw! (It's been awhile I admit, since I last drew.. and deeply disappointed to say, I dont think I deserve the "best artist award" on formal night. Thus, getting up & taking up the initative && getting on with it* ought to be 1st on ze list.)
  3. Drink more water! (it's these little habits that goes a long way!) place water as my 1st option the next time I get thirsty! :)
  4. Be spiritually fit (I havetha agree on this one, Lately I've been reading the bible yet not praying as frequently) Although as a follower of christ, none of this is compulsory, yet.. As a personal decision, I needa be spiritually fit!
  5. bury yourself in books! (AH! new semester, awesome begining, magnifient opportunty to get on with your studies) Typical asian with typical asian responsibilities! need I say more?

Remember in my previous post when I ended the blog with..

I-Intelligence

~accepting realism to a certain degree

Saturday:
Had my final day of workexperience, (: thnks heaps for making it a memorable one. && Must I say, Tough work really does pay off in the end.. *smiles all around*
There's always mistakes done in our daily lives, for instance.. breaking the glass perhaps? dropping the cakes? miscalculating the price? But it's the lesson learnt that matters.. In society today, lifes are constantly changing.. for both good&&bad. It's a balance of both actually, though we'd like to see as improving for the better, yet there are still.. chaos occuring just at the other end of the street. Thus,In order to make every second of my hols worthwhile, I'm listing down.. all the events, daily intake, emotional process.. (: My apologies, if any of the following bores you.

my oh-so wonderful holiday rollercoaster ride..

bummed at glen with Steffi&&Andy later on in the afternoon, watched KungFuPanda. Seriously, movie's are getting better by the minute. First Superhero movie, (stupid yet hilarious) Spiderwick Chronicles, Enchanted, Chronicles of Narnia, && Now this!

I love a movie where actor's popularity no longer matter, where lessons are taught towards the ending, yet still consist of it's humour, where new ideas are made of the old, A movie that inspires!
"Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the present. "

Monday;;TBwhores

I've never really got over the dress up stage.

@photoplus.

It's times like these, where cameras come in handy. Me in a Kimono? Seriously, how often do you see me in those?Revealed my inner TB as we were bumming at Photoplus. Just coincidently how I was feeling hyped up && the urge of making a fool outta myself during the day. It's never too late in your teenage years, to enjoy your youth, appreciate the time given,& live life as if noone is watching! -just for the time being.
How amazing it is...A friendship could easily be formed within merely 30minutes of time.. Just a pinch of interests, a whole lot of friendliness, and there you go.. the secret to the begining of a friendship.
The begining of a friendship, started as I sat rapt in awe while observing the drawings of the stranger sketching right next to me. I saw a raw && gifted artist, sketching his way through such displeasing environment, filled with noise&nuisance.. How tempted I was in questioning his desires, how could he possibly create a piece in this environment? && So I did. (: I shan't nag about it too much. But most importantly, not only did we share the same interest & beliefs, it wasn't just fate that got us to meet, but on the certainty that it's God, who constantly inspires us, reminding us by putting friends in our lives.
Today a man discovered gold and fame,Another flew the stormy seas; One found the germ of a disease. But what high fates my path attend:For I — today I found a friend.

Tuesday;; FamilyBonding

differencate cheeky smile

&& a cheerful smile (:
Nothing says Familybonding like lunch at Bob's Kitchen && Happycup for break. While Mum's away for holidays, everyone's been there for us in need of help, care, support, && getting a lift ;] My family in particular.. Grandma's been helpful babysitting us throughout the weeks, Cousin Grace has been nothing but supportive && taking us out on hols! && everyone else who cared and made a effort to visit us!

~i love my Family

crossed eye attempt;;SUCCESS!
Wednesday;;CERAMICS
Well i should start this off.. with, the sleepover! (no, I aint that connected* to have sleepovers) but sleepover @ my niece's was just as fun! It amazes me to hear the word "L.O.V.E" or even like.. from a 3 year old.. we had our girly talks, "fun time" which included.. story telling, activity games, && alil of pretend-pretend. My day spent with a 3yr old was.. extremely enjoyable. In our day to day life, who knew a child as young as the age of 3 could have a massive impact in your life.
We went on like normal girl's conversation would..

"Who's your friends in class?"
"there's alexander.. anakin.. && *giggles*" "ZAC!"
"Who's Zac?"
"I'm not tellingg.."
"Why not?"
ahah..Yes, I finally got her to open up, Zac's apparently this boy in her class.. whom she dreams about, likes, && likes her back! ahah, mine goes way back, lol. First guy I ever liked.. was at the age of five? He's just some guy who made my heart skipped a beat..It's those days, when you feel all fluttery inside, but never thought about the sexual* stuff? Just.. going up to him or even a wave would be a massive achievement! Yet, knowing my niece's experiencing the exact same thing, && there's so much yet to discover, what awesome journey lies ahead of her. A new generation begins!
Went for ceramics painting with family today, each painted an object of our choice. Each with it's purpose, story behind, meaning. Funny thought, Most parents enjoyed it better than their children.. I guess, it's more of a relaxation theraphy? rather than the enjoyment of the kids themselves? just a thought. :) Still, 5 of us had a blast, painting.. exploring our creativity, && putting in all our effort in 1 object! :)
Thursday::
tempation of Jesus
Matthew 4
Then Jesus was led by the spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil. After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. The tempter came to him and said, "If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread."
Jesus answered, "It is written: ;Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God."
Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. "If you are the Son of God," he said, "throw yourself down. For it is written:
:He will command his angels concerning you. and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not stirke your foot against a stone.'
Jesus answered him, "It is also written: Do not put your Lord your God to the test.'
Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. " All this I will give you, he said, 'If you bow down and worship me."
Jesus said to him, "Away from me, Satan! For it is written:'Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.'
Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.

hibernating after a long day of work!

Friday

Again accidentally deleted today's post on "whatever comes in mind" lmao.. But since my mind's currently at peace.. no harm retyping the entire post again, who knows..deletion of today's post might be not an accident, there might be 0.1% possibility of me learning from my life's journey.

Life

needless to say, the title explains it all.. "whatever comes in mind" It's moments like these. sparing a moment for yourself by the end of the day.. taking in all experiences, reevaluating && applying in the future..

"eating in moderation"

a sentence repeated continuously in the last couple of days but failed to stick to, I guess the weather plays a part, for my recent eating habits..loss of interest in all outdoor activities. Seriously, what's the wiser solution during cold weathers? bumming at home watching dramas? or going for a jog in a 10degrees temperature? Yet that's not an excuse.. Aims are set to motivate despite influences from the weather, time, mood.

Though a cup of hot chocolate with 2 slices of brownies looks as tempting as it is, it's not gonna benefit you in the long run? obviously not for your health? looks? figure? Thus, why bother stuffing 2 slices of brownies down your throat, yet a portion of it would only end up around your waist? lmao. begining to put you off arent I?

I guess.. its thoughts like these which remind me of my goals, sticking to wotever's set. Besides, formal's merely a week away.. gaining weight would be the last thing i need.

~temptation of Jesus
